New Tata Tiago EV Spotted Testing In India: Bigger Battery Expected

The Tata Tiago EV, India’s most affordable electric car, has been spied undergoing road tests, signaling a mid-life facelift. Cloaked in camouflage, the test mule suggests Tata Motors is preparing to introduce a larger battery pack to address consumer concerns about driving range. The update is expected to retain the existing platform while offering incremental improvements in styling, safety, and interior features.  

Reports indicate that the current 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh battery options may be supplemented with a higher-capacity pack, potentially extending the EV’s range beyond its present 250–315 km figures. Cosmetic changes are likely to be minimal, focusing on revised lighting, wheels, and a refreshed gauge cluster. Interior upgrades inspired by newer Tata models could also be part of the package.
