IOL Chemicals Expands Manufacturing Capacity For Key Products

IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Ltd has undertaken significant capacity expansion initiatives to meet rising demand in the specialty chemicals sector. The company confirmed that acetic anhydride capacity has been increased to 32,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) through a capital expenditure of 57.1 million rupees. This investment underscores its commitment to scaling production while maintaining efficiency.  

Additionally, IOL Chemicals has enhanced its ethyl acetate manufacturing capacity from 100,000 MTPA to 120,000 MTPA. Ethyl acetate, widely used in pharmaceuticals, coatings, and adhesives, continues to see strong demand across domestic and international markets.  

Industry experts view these expansions as a strategic move to strengthen IOL’s market share and improve revenue streams. The company’s focus on capacity growth aligns with India’s broader push to boost chemical exports and reduce reliance on imports.
