Solarworld Energy Solutions Limited has bagged two major EPC contracts from NTPC Limited for battery energy storage system (BESS) projects, valued at a combined INR 285 crore. The projects, awarded under Lot-2, will be executed at Solapur and Feroze Gandhi Unchahar Thermal Power Stations.
Solarworld announced today, that it received letters of award for two significant BESS EPC packages. These contracts mark a strategic expansion in India’s energy storage infrastructure, reinforcing NTPC’s push toward sustainable and reliable power solutions.
Project Details And Scope
The Solapur Super Thermal Power Station project involves a 75 MW/150 MWh BESS EPC package with an order value of approximately INR 176.91 crore. Meanwhile, the Feroze Gandhi Unchahar Thermal Power Station project covers a 50 MW/100 MWh BESS EPC package worth INR 108.22 crore. Both projects are expected to be completed within 15 months.
