NITI Aayog has sanctioned ₹1.55 crore to the Rural Innovations, Incubation, Skilling and Entrepreneurship (RISE) Centre at Guntupalli in Andhra Pradesh. The funding will support skill development, AI-based surveys, and infrastructure creation, with a strong focus on promoting women-led enterprises and rural entrepreneurship.
The announcement was made by NTR District Collector Dr. G. Lakshmisha, who highlighted that the grant aligns with the state’s vision of “one family-one entrepreneur.” The initiative aims to empower women, particularly self-help group members, by providing training, resources, and incubation support.
Funding Purpose
The ₹1.55 crore grant will be utilized for skill development programs, AI-driven skills surveys, and infrastructure development at the RISE Centre. These efforts are designed to enhance employability, foster innovation, and create sustainable livelihoods in rural communities.
