Odisha is set to transform its tourism landscape with two landmark projects announced by Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister Pravati Parida. Speaking at the 40th foundation day celebration of the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Odisha in Puri, she revealed that a Rs 1,000 crore cruise terminal will be constructed in Puri, alongside the development of a 1,500-acre modern city at Sipasarubali.
The cruise terminal is expected to significantly enhance Odisha’s maritime tourism potential, attracting both domestic and international travelers. Meanwhile, the Sipasarubali city project will focus on tourism-led urban growth, offering modern infrastructure, hospitality facilities, and leisure spaces to complement Puri’s cultural and religious significance.
