India’s leading tyre manufacturer, MRF Ltd, has announced a major investment of ₹5,300 crore to set up a greenfield tyre plant in Tamil Nadu. The MoU was signed with the state government’s Guidance agency in the presence of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, underscoring Tamil Nadu’s commitment to attracting large-scale industrial projects.
The plant, to be established at SIPCOT-Iluppaikudi Industrial Park in Sivaganga district, will be developed over 12 years.
