For the first time in its history, the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) will issue two admit cards to candidates. The exams, scheduled between March 24 and May 16, 2026, will use a phased admit card system to improve transparency and reduce last-minute confusion for lakhs of aspirants.
A New Admit Card System
The CET Cell has announced that candidates will first receive a provisional admit card containing exam city details. This will help students plan travel and accommodation well in advance. Later, a final admit card will be issued with the exact exam center address, reporting time, and exam instructions.
Exam Schedule And Scope
MHT CET 2026 will be conducted in computer-based mode across Maharashtra for admission into 17 undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The phased admit card system is expected to streamline logistics and ensure smoother exam management, especially given the scale of participation.
Candidate Convenience
By splitting the admit card process, authorities aim to reduce stress among students and provide clarity earlier in the exam cycle. This move is being seen as a step towards modernizing exam administration in India.
