Bridge Cafe In Arunachal Becomes Viral Travel Hotspot

The project, completed in just 31 days under Operation Sadbhavna, transformed an unused Bailey bridge into a vibrant café run by local Monpa women. The initiative not only boosts tourism but also empowers the community by creating livelihood opportunities in one of India’s most remote regions.

The Indian Army repurposed the retired bridge into a café with glass-lined interiors, allowing visitors to enjoy tea and meals while overlooking the river below. This innovative use of infrastructure highlights the Army’s role in fostering development and connectivity in border areas.

The café is operated by Monpa women, ensuring local participation and cultural authenticity.
