The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board awarded the contract under a Refurbish–Finance–Operate–Maintain–Transfer (RFOMT) model. The project involves 18 months of refurbishment followed by 18.5 years of operation and maintenance, ensuring long-term sustainability and efficiency.
