JSW Cement Ltd has commissioned its first greenfield integrated cement plant in Nagaur, Rajasthan, featuring a 2.5 MTPA grinding capacity and 3.3 MTPA clinkerisation capacity. This milestone marks the company’s entry into North India, boosting its total grinding capacity to 24.1 MTPA and strengthening its national presence.
JSW Cement, part of the US$24.25 billion JSW Group, has invested around ₹3,000 crore in the facility. The plant is equipped with advanced pyroprocessing technology, a waste heat recovery power unit, and sustainable material handling systems, reflecting the company’s commitment to eco-friendly manufacturing.
Strategic Expansion In North India
The Nagaur facility is JSW Cement’s first production unit in North India, strategically positioned to serve growing demand in Rajasthan and neighboring states. The plant enhances supply chain efficiency and reduces reliance on southern and western units.
Sustainability And Technology Focus
The facility integrates an 18 MW waste heat recovery power plant and provisions for alternative fuels in the kiln. A 7 km overland belt conveyor ensures efficient limestone transport, minimizing environmental impact. Advanced pyroprocessing lines supplied by Humboldt Wedag India further enhance production efficiency.
