CAE And InterGlobe Launch Mumbai Pilot Training Centre To Meet India’s Aviation Demand

On April 15, 2026, CAE and InterGlobe officially opened their fourth advanced pilot training centre in India, located in Mumbai. The centre is designed to strengthen domestic pilot training capacity and support India’s rapidly expanding aviation sector.

Facility Details

The Mumbai centre is a 44,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility equipped with high-fidelity simulators. It begins operations with one Airbus A320 full-flight simulator (FFS), with a second simulator expected later this year. The long-term plan is to scale up to six simulators, making it one of the largest training hubs in the country.

Addressing Pilot Demand

India’s aviation industry is projected to need 22,000 new pilots by 2035, driven by rapid growth in passenger traffic and fleet expansion. The new centre will play a crucial role in meeting this demand by offering immersive, simulator-based training aligned with global safety and proficiency standards.
