Surge in Electricity Demand: The IEA foresees that data centre electricity consumption will increase more than twice by 2030 to about 945 terawatt-hours (TWh), which is equal to the current annual electricity consumption of Japan. Global Impact: The United States, Europe, and China alone contribute to approximately 85% of the present day data centre energy use.
