South Korean President Lee To Visit India And Vietnam April 19–24, Strengthening Asian Ties

President Lee Jae Myung of South Korea is set to begin a two-nation tour covering India and Vietnam between April 19 and April 24, 2026. The visit underscores Seoul’s commitment to deepening diplomatic, economic, and strategic partnerships in South and Southeast Asia.

According to official announcements, Lee will spend two nights in India and three nights in Vietnam. His itinerary includes high-level meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and President To Lam in Hanoi, focusing on trade, technology, and regional security.

India Visit

During his stay in India, President Lee will hold summit talks with Prime Minister Modi on April 20. Discussions are expected to cover cooperation in defense, semiconductors, renewable energy, and infrastructure, aligning with India’s push for stronger Indo-Pacific partnerships.

Vietnam Visit

Lee will then travel to Vietnam on April 21 for a three-day state visit. He will meet President To Lam, marking the first foreign leader visit since Lam’s election. Talks will emphasize supply chain resilience, investment opportunities, and cultural exchange.
