Hydrogen on the Move: Tiger Logistics Seals Landmark Deal with Russia’s H2 Invest

Tiger Logistics has partnered with Russia’s H2 Invest via an MoU to develop liquid hydrogen transportation and storage infrastructure in India. The venture will introduce cryogenic tanks, enable multimodal transport, and support technology transfer, aligning with India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission to build a scalable hydrogen supply chain.

India’s clean energy transition gained fresh momentum today as Tiger Logistics (India) Limited signed a groundbreaking MoU with Russia’s H2 Invest Limited Liability Company to develop transportation and storage infrastructure for liquid hydrogen in India. This marks the first major tie-up between an Indian logistics leader and a global hydrogen technology firm, laying the groundwork for a sustainable hydrogen supply chain in line with the Government’s National Green Hydrogen Mission.

Under the partnership, Tiger Logistics will integrate H2 Invest’s advanced cryogenic tank technology into India’s emerging hydrogen value chain, enabling the storage and safe transportation of liquid hydrogen. Logistics channels will span trucks, railway wagons and container ships, amplifying coverage across domestic and international markets.

The MoU also envisions joint large-scale industrial and infrastructural projects, supported by technology transfer and domestic manufacturing capabilities. This could catalyze the development of a robust hydrogen logistics ecosystem, addressing storage and transportation challenges that have long hindered the fuel’s industrial adoption.

Harpreet Singh Malhotra, Chairman & Managing Director of Tiger Logistics, emphasized hydrogen’s future role in India’s energy strategy, stating it is imperative to create scalable and sustainable solutions for safe delivery. He highlighted that combining global hydrogen expertise with local logistics efficiency could fast-track nationwide hydrogen adoption.
