HPCL Strengthens LPG Supply Chain With Zero-Tolerance Discipline Across Nationwide Network

Introduction

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), one of India’s leading oil marketing companies, has intensified its crackdown on irregularities in LPG distribution. The company has taken decisive action against distributors found guilty of malpractice, while simultaneously ensuring uninterrupted supply of LPG cylinders to households across the country.

Zero-Tolerance Policy

HPCL suspended 10 LPG distributors for alleged malpractices, reinforcing its zero-tolerance stance against irregularities. The company emphasized that strict disciplinary measures are being implemented to maintain accountability and transparency in service delivery. 

Ensuring Supply Continuity

Despite global energy market uncertainties, HPCL reported robust operational performance, serving nearly 1.94 crore customers in a single day on April 4, 2026. The company dispatched 9,951 fuel tankers nationwide and sold 38,986 KL of petrol and 69,357 KL of diesel, alongside uninterrupted LPG supply. 

Government Coordination

The crackdown aligns with government directives to curb misinformation that triggered panic buying and hoarding. HPCL’s actions are part of a broader effort to stabilize supply chains and reassure consumers of consistent LPG availability.
