West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee announced ₹10 lakh compensation for families of three state residents killed in the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, along with a government job for each bereaved household. The package includes:
 
Tailored aid: Bitan Adhikari’s elderly parents (Kolkata) will receive ₹5 lakh each, his wife ₹5 lakh, plus a ₹10k/month pension and Swasthya Sathi health card.
 
Army martyr assistance: Havildar Jhantu Ali Sheikh's widow (Nadia) is given ₹10 lakh, a government post, and higher studies for her children.
 
NIA probe: Agency questioned Samir Guha's widow, daughter for 4+ hours to reconstruct the attack. 
 
Banerjee criticized the Centre's Kashmir security boasts, while BJP focused on counter-terror resolve.
