U.P. Battles Scorching Summer with Cartoon Crusade

Uttar Pradesh launched a state-wide awareness campaign of a heatwave involving animated Hindi cartoons like "Loo Se Bachein Aur Bachayein" to create awareness among children and the aged about protective measures. The campaign, being launched in every gram panchayat, entails workshops, social media alerts, and awareness vinyl boards in public areas.

 

As temperatures are likely to cross 40°C, the state is preparing with caution under its Heat Wave Action Plan, declaring heatwaves as state-level disasters. The campaign also makes a reference towards fire accidents and lightning strikes and utilizes digital content, including district-level training.
