Two Cities, One Timeless Tale: The French Revolution Comes Alive in Musical Form

The classic novel A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens is experiencing renewed attention with a series of fresh adaptations and stage productions in 2025. Servant Stage is set to present the Broadway musical version at Warwick High School Performing Arts Center from September 12-28, offering audiences a dramatic retelling of Dickens’ epic story. The musical, with music and lyrics by Jill Santoriello, follows the intertwined lives of Charles Darnay and Sydney Carton against the backdrop of the French Revolution, exploring themes of justice, sacrifice, and redemption.
