Mumbai Indians' pace spearhead Trent Boult remains confident that bowlers will have their moment despite the dominance of power-hitting in the ongoing IPL season. Speaking on JioHotstar's special series, Boult acknowledged the increasing frequency of 200-plus scores and the possibility of a 300-run total being breached for the first time in IPL history.
Boult emphasized that while batters are pushing boundaries with aggressive stroke play, this also creates opportunities for bowlers to strike. He believes that maintaining accuracy and staying aggressive will allow bowlers to turn the tide in their favor.
Reflecting on his own approach, Boult highlighted the challenges of bowling in the death overs, an area he has consistently worked on. He stressed the importance of clarity, adaptability, and executing under pressure, noting that modern T20 cricket demands constant evolution in bowling strategies.
Boult also shared his fond memories of playing in Hyderabad, where he once idolized Dale Steyn and later found himself sharing a dressing room with him. He expressed gratitude for the support he has received throughout his IPL journey, particularly with Mumbai Indians, where he has felt backed and encouraged to express himself on the field.
