CleanMax, a leader in renewable energy and net-zero solutions backed by Brookfield, has been awarded the Excellence in Sustainability Award at Cisco's Global Supplier Day, hosted in San Jose, California, an honor recognizing CleanMax's efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This was through their commission of a 92.1 MW hybrid wind-solar project recently completed in Jagluru, Karnataka.

This innovative plant consists of a 69 MWp of solar combined with 23.1 MW of wind, and is supplying clean energy to Cisco's India campus, one of the largest campus locations outside the US. Through this initiative, Cisco will be able to procure over 90% of its electricity from renewable resources in Karnataka, which is an important milestone in their goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the entire value chain to net-zero by 2040.

The hybrid solution is projected to produce around 181.4 million kWh of clean electricity annually, helping avoid approximately 129,000 metric tonnes of CO₂ equivalent emissions per year, which is equivalent to planting nearly two million trees each year in India.

Kuldeep Jain, Managing Director of CleanMax, said, “This award from Cisco is a reflection of our shared commitment to the environment and the journey we have taken with Cisco over the last several years. As a net-zero partner, CleanMax is focused on empowering corporations to meet their renewable energy demands, and we are delighted to be on that journey with a tech giant like Cisco. Our partnership reinforces a mutual commitment to sustainability and high standards.”

Mary de Wysocki, Chief Sustainability Officer at Cisco, noted, "The Excellence in Sustainability Award helps in recognizing the partners who have helped our customers deliver significant business outcomes, and celebrates CleanMax's commitment to accelerating clean energy access and reducing greenhouse gas emissions."

With this latest project, CleanMax has now delivered a total of 120 MW of renewable energy to Cisco's India operations, fortifying both companies leadership in corporate sustainability and large scale clean energy adoption.
