GMR Airports Infrastructure has reported a robust 8% year-on-year surge in passenger traffic for March 2025, handling over 10.5 million travelers across its network—a clear signal of India’s aviation boom gaining new altitude.
 
Key Highlights:
  • Total passenger traffic across all GMR airports reached 10.5 million in March 2025, marking a 7.9% year-on-year growth, with both domestic and international segments rising by nearly 8%.
  • Delhi Airport led the charge, handling 7 million passengers (up 6% YoY), while Hyderabad Airport posted a remarkable 17% growth, serving 2.6 million passengers and setting a new monthly record.
  • Aircraft movements mirrored this growth, rising 8% YoY to 65,698 in March, reflecting increased connectivity and frequency of flights.
  • The Hyderabad Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) emerged as a star performer, clocking its highest-ever annual traffic at 29.16 million passengers for FY2025—a 17% jump over last year.
New routes and enhanced connectivity, such as Air India’s Delhi-Tel Aviv service and expanded frequencies on domestic sectors, fueled the surge.
GMR Airports collectively surpassed 120 million passengers and 0.73 million aircraft movements for the full financial year, reinforcing its leadership in the sector.
