On Saturday at the Rajmata Vijayraje Krishi Vishwavidyalaya in Gwalior, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia handed out more than 300 appointment letters to the newly selected youth during the 15th phase of the Rozgar Mela (employment fair). The Rozgar Mela is part of a nationwide initiative where Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed over 51,000 appointment letters to selected candidates across the country through a virtual platform.
In his welcome address, Scindia reiterated the government's efforts to generate new employment opportunities for youth, declaring, "Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, our country is bringing new opportunities for youth. Today, over 51,000 youths have received appointment letters across the nation. The Prime Minister's speech has brought new energy to all of us especially to the youths".
The Rozgar Mela was conducted as a simultaneous event across 47 locations in India with other several Union Ministers distributing letters. The initiative began in October of 2022, employing over 10-lakh peoples into permanent government jobs, according to Scindia's office. "The hard work and passion of the youth of our country will be the fuel to develop into India into a developed nation."
Also attending the Rozgar Mela in Gwalior included Madhya Pradesh Energy Minister Pradyumna Singh Tomar and other local officials who congratulated the newly appointed youth and encouraged them to engage in nation building.
