ReNew has ordered India's largest single-location, made-in-India solar plant in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, a significant step in the country's clean energy transition. Dedicated by Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the 1.3 GWp facility is a first-of-its-kind, constructed using completely domestic solar panels—90% of which were produced at ReNew's state-of-the-art Jaipur factory.

Key Highlights:

Scale and Impact: The project, covering 3,500 acres over several villages, will produce 2,490 million units of electricity every year—sufficient to illuminate 500,000 homes in Rajasthan.

Competitive Tariff: Power will be provided at a very low tariff price of ₹2.18 per kWh, ensuring cheap, clean energy for the state.

Sustainability: The plant will neutralize 2.3 million tons of CO2 emissions annually, contributing significantly towards India's climate agenda.

Community Benefit: Rural communities benefit via 25-year fixed income land lease contracts, enabling rural development inclusivity.

Atmanirbhar Bharat: The project reinforces the 'Make in India' vision, making India stronger on energy self-sufficiency and manufacturing capabilities.

This achievement solidifies Rajasthan as the epicenter of India's renewable revolution and highlights ReNew's position at the forefront of clean, domestic energy solutions.
