Congress Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi arrived at Boston Logan International Airport, receiving a warm welcome from Congress Overseas Chief Sam Pitroda, who praised him as a “voice for the youth, for democracy, and for a better future.” Gandhi’s visit underscores his growing international engagement and focus on youth empowerment and democratic values.

As part of his US tour, Gandhi will be meeting Brown University students and faculty members in Rhode Island on April 21 and 22, engaging in dialogue, and giving a lecture. His tour includes meetings with the Indian diaspora, office bearers, and Indian Overseas Congress, which will further cement relationships with the international Indian community.

This is the second visit to the US for Gandhi in a span of few months. He visited the University of Texas, Dallas, and Georgetown University in Washington, DC, last in September 2024 and spoke to students as well as members of the diaspora. Social justice causes and demanding a caste census, better representation of weaker sections in decision-making positions – all this and more is central to his outreach overseas.
