The 13-year-old, ranked seventh in the country nationally in the under-14 age group and 37th in Asia, demonstrated her peerless skills and grit on court, overpowering her rivals with a combination of power and delicacy.

Padmapriya's run through the tournament was dominated by dominating performances, culminating in a thrilling singles final in which she outplayed her opponent in straight sets.
