Mother Dairy has announced a hike in price up to Rs 2 per liter with effect April 30, 2025, in Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Uttarakhand. Price hike comes at a time after sudden escalation of procurement cost due to premature onset of summer heatwaves and below-par weather. Cost per litre has gone up by Rs 4-5 because of these heatwaves.

The increased rates are toned milk (bulk) to Rs 56 per litre from Rs 54, full cream milk (pouched) to Rs 69 from Rs 68, toned milk (pouched) to Rs 57 from Rs 56, double toned milk to Rs 51 from Rs 49, and cow milk to Rs 59 from Rs 57.

Mother Dairy emphasized this growth being part pass-through for balancing the consumers' interest along with upholding the livelihood of over 10 lakh milk-producing farmers whose production is fed through its huge network of retail stores and online transactions.
