The World Health Summit (WHS) Regional Meeting 2025 has begun today in New Delhi, bringing together global health leaders, policymakers, and advocates to discuss some of the most urgent health issues in the region. This year, the summit runs from April 25 to April 27 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan with the theme of "Scaling Access to Ensure Health Equity," with narrowing down on youth mental health.

A couple of sessions focus on strengthening mental health systems for youth, prevention, support, and policy action using the phrase mental health systems for youth in the title to signal the focus being on youth mental health, etc. A key session, organized by ETI Consulting, is "Strengthening Mental Health Systems for Youth: Prevention, Support, and Policy Action," which will convene experts to discuss innovative strategies and collaborative frameworks to improve the mental health of adolescents and young adults.

The agenda also has panels on adolescent well-being, youth engagement, and preparing a structured mental health framework for college students. The aim is to build successful processes and techniques upon existing adolescent mental health programs to ensure that the mental health remains endemic on the regional health agenda.

The WHS Regional Meeting 2025 is co-hosted by NIMS University, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, and Ashoka University. Participation includes leading scientists, UN officials, and civil society. Through the emphasis on youth mental health, the WHS Regional Meeting aims to create action and promote a healthier, equitable future for the next generation.
