Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES 2025) on May 1 at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre, Bandra Kurla Complex. This four-day global event is set to unite over 200 industry leaders, including Bollywood legends like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, and Shah Rukh Khan, alongside international media giants and policymakers from around 40 countries.
WAVES 2025 aims to put India on the map as a creative hotbed with showcases of innovation in film, OTT, gaming, digital media, AI, and emerging tech. The summit features headline panels such as "Legends and Legacies" and "The New Mainstream", fueling collaboration and investment for India's fast-growing $50 billion media and entertainment sector.
