Daifuku Intralogistics India has commissioned a Rs 2.27 billion state-of-the-art manufacturing unit in Hyderabad, a massive achievement for India's automation sector. The new facility of the Japanese conglomerate will produce cutting-edge material handling systems for e-commerce, automotive, pharma, and FMCG sectors with 100+ skilled employment in phase one.
Daifuku Co., Ltd. CEO Hiroshi Geshiro described India as a "strategic global market," aligning the facility with Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat goals. CEO Asim Behera emphasized scalable solutions and sustainability, while Chairman Srinivas Garimella highlighted Indo-Japanese cooperation and empowering local talent.
The hub intends to respond to India's booming logistics sector, to breach $650 billion by 2030, using Japanese technology coupled with Indian brains. It includes strategizing partnerships for R&D and green automation initiatives in an effort to augment India's place as an exporter of international fame.
