Malaysia Airlines has taken to the skies in a new era of sports and aviation with the launch of a dramatic Manchester United-themed livery on its flagship A330-300 at the Matta Fair 2025 in Kuala Lumpur. The tailor-made design, combining the colors of the Malaysian flag with Manchester United's traditional red, was unveiled in a glittering ceremony that was graced by football icons Dimitar Berbatov, Nemanja Vidic, and Luis Nani. The livery embodies unity and power, honoring the relationship of national pride and international sporting excellence.
Supporters can meet the Manchester United legends in exclusive meet-and-greet sessions at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre between April 18 to 20. The airline's pavilion, which is among the largest at the fair, also features the new Business Class seats and gives a glimpse of its next-generation Boeing 737-10 lie-flat seats, which are a first for its narrowbody aircraft.
Malaysia Airlines' Group Managing Director Datuk Captain Izham Ismail welcomed the alliance as a new bold chapter, combining passion in sport with innovation and hospitality. With Manchester United to play Kuala Lumpur on May 28, the partnership represents a dynamic celebration for aviation and football fans alike.
