KKR Off to a Blazing Start Against DC with 79/1 in Powerplay

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have launched a fiery start against the Delhi Capitals (DC), racing to 79/1 at the end of the powerplay. Openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Sunil Narine came out with intent, with Gurbaz smashing a rapid 26 off just 12 balls before falling to Mitchell Starc. Narine, continuing his aggressive streak, remains unbeaten on 26 off 14 balls, while captain Ajinkya Rahane has joined the party with a quickfire 21 off 10.

The KKR batting unit has maintained a blazing run rate of 13.17, putting DC bowlers under immense pressure. Starc managed to strike, but has been expensive, conceding 35 runs in 3 overs. Dushmantha Chameera and Mukesh Kumar also took a beating, leaking 25 and 17 runs respectively in their brief spells.

With a deep batting line-up still to come, KKR looks well poised for a massive total. DC will need to regroup quickly to contain the onslaught.
