Is Your Aadhaar Safe? Track Unauthorized Use & Secure Your Data

Step 1: Lock Biometrics
Use the UIDAI portal or mAadhaar app to lock iris/fingerprint data, blocking unauthorized authentication but allowing Virtual ID (VID) access
 
Step 2: Check Authentication History
Visit myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in > "Aadhaar Authentication History" to view timestamps and organizations that viewed your data
 
Step 3: Generate Virtual ID (VID)
Replace your Aadhaar number with a temporary 16-digit VID for secure transactions
 
Step 4: Look out for Alerts
Allow email/SMS notifications through UIDAI to get real-time alerts for authentication attempts
 
Step 5: Inform Suspicious Activity
Dial 1947 or report a grievance on the UIDAI portal if you suspect misuse
