India's Global Capability Centre (GCC) sector is booming, with FirstMeridian seeing over 1 lakh fresher entry-level jobs by 2030 as part of a larger 4 lakh fresher recruitment exercise. The GCC industry will swell to 3 million as it is boosted by a $110 billion market and rapid growth in tier-two cities, creating up to 40% of new jobs.
Drivers are India's diverse talent pool, high digital literacy, and growing demand for AI, ML, cloud computing, and cybersecurity talent. Women already account for 40% of the GCC workforce with diversity likely to improve further. As GCCs transition from transactional roles to strategic roles like engineering and customer experience, India is increasingly becoming a global talent hub.
