From Cover Drives to Classrooms: Smriti Mandhana Opens Dubai Cricket Dream Hub

Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana has teamed up with UK-based coach Don Bhagawati to launch the City Cricket Academy by Smriti Mandhana at Dubai International Academy Al Barsha. This state-of-the-art facility aims to nurture young cricket talent across all age groups, blending Don’s two decades of elite coaching with Mandhana’s international experience.

 

The academy offers structured coaching systems, mentoring from current and former players, and international exposure through exchange systems with association academies from the UK and India. Don's wife, a former England cricketer, is also a part of the overall upbringing of players.

 

Mandhana stressed that the academy is not just a training facility—it's an institution to motivate young cricketers to dream big, build character, and become better individuals. The project is a major milestone in developing cricketing excellence in the region and globally.
