Uttarakhand Health Secretary Dr. R Rajesh Kumar made a thorough on-the-spot inspection in Haridwar to review the current preparations for Chardham Yatra 2025. The inspection was designed to check infrastructure preparedness, safety standards, and timely completion of critical projects to provide a smooth pilgrimage.

• Infrastructure and Safety: Inspections were conducted on planned ghats, roads, bridges, and building works, with focus on structural integrity and safety standards.
• Strict Oversight: The Chief Minister has directed high-quality construction and timely completion of all works, threatening stern action against negligence.
• Ghats and Beautification: Plans entail phased repair and beautification of 104 ghats along 12.3 km to upgrade the experience of devotees
• New Constructions: Plans for new ghats and bridges, including the replacement of the 170-year-old run-down bridge on Dhanouri-Sidkul Road, were considered.
Kumbh Mela 2027: A high-level meeting at Damkothi charted strategies for holding Ardh Kumbh in a big way, with hassle-free logistics and infrastructure upgradation.
The inspection reiterated the resolve to ensure a secure and well-organized pilgrimage, with specific guidelines for speedy approvals and implementation of essential projects.
