The Uttarakhand government has launched a revolutionary program to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in the state. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made the announcement to set up a Rs 200 crore venture fund, a big step towards strengthening the startup ecosystem and empowering the youth.

Some of the major highlights of this program are:

Establishment of an incubation center in each district, with a vision to create 1000 new startups in five years.

Financial support, technical advice, and infrastructure facilities to be extended to young entrepreneurs.

Establishment of entrepreneurship courses in universities and colleges, along with a specific startup portal for simplifying procedures.

Inauguration of the Uttarakhand Innovation Hub at Dehradun IT Park, which is a cutting-edge facility meant to act as a nodal incubation center.

This effort is not about money; it is about investing in talent and turning around migration patterns. Through favorable policies and innovation focus, the state plans to generate employment opportunities and achieve self-sustenance, especially in border regions.

The declaration was made during the Startup Samvad event in Dehradun, where the Chief Minister also launched the Unnat Uttarakhand booklet and spoke with young entrepreneurs. Their success stories of innovation and perseverance highlighted the power of this program to make Uttarakhand a hub of entrepreneurial activity.
