Dewald Brevis Impresses in CSK Debut, Earns Praise from Anil Kumble

South African cricketer Dewald Brevis made a strong impact in his debut for Chennai Super Kings, scoring 42 runs off 25 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad. His performance drew praise from former India head coach Anil Kumble, who described Brevis as a potential long-term asset for CSK.  

 

Brevis replaced injured fast bowler Gurjapneet Singh and showcased his ability to handle spin effectively. Kumble compared his entry to Chris Gayle’s unexpected rise in the IPL, highlighting Brevis’ potential to become a key player for CSK.  

 

CSK, however, struggled in the match, losing to Sunrisers Hyderabad by five wickets, marking their fourth consecutive home defeat.
