Travelers looking for an easy ride from Delhi to Hisar were left fuming on Friday as inclement weather caused chaos in flight timings at the newly opened Maharaja Agrasen Airport. The Delhi–Hisar–Ayodhya flight, which was due to land at 10:15 AM, arrived almost two and a half hours late at 12:50 PM. The flight for the return journey to Ayodhya was also affected, departing almost three hours late with 61 tired passengers.
Several travelers, even those having layovers, were left in the lurch and had to give up plans and look elsewhere. "I would have covered ground quicker on road," a dejected passenger Krishan Kumar rued. To make things worse was Hisar Airport's deficiency in essential amenities—there is no waiting area, there are no taxi facilities, and elderly people waiting in the burning heat of sun for miles in scorching sun to step off their trains.

In spite of the mayhem, some of the passengers attempted to maintain their morale, with people chanting "Jai Shri Ram" on the delayed Ayodhya flight. Officials vow to do better as Alliance Air is set to introduce new flights to Jaipur and Chandigarh in the near future, but for now, the Hisar skies remain uncertain.
