IndiGo, India's largest airline, has won the coveted "Partner of the Year" award at the Changi Airline Awards 2025, organized by Changi Airport Group (CAG) at the Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore. The award acknowledges IndiGo's leadership in driving passenger growth and enhancing connectivity between India and Singapore, solidifying its position as a leading player in the region's aviation industry.

Key Highlights:
  • Key Growth Milestone: IndiGo has become Changi Airport's fifth largest foreign carrier in terms of passenger traffic since commencing Singapore operations in 2011. In 2024 alone, IndiGo carried more than 1 million passengers to and through Changi, a 64% year-on-year increase.
  • Increased Connectivity: The airline has increased its India-Singapore frequency to 75 weekly flights-a 53% rise above pre-pandemic levels-that connect nine Indian key cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Coimbatore with Singapore.
  • Regional Impact: IndiGo's strong network and codeshare agreement with Qantas have also increased travel between India and Singapore, as well as India and Australia, with Changi being used as a transit point.
  • Collaborative Promotions: IndiGo has been collaborating with CAG and the Singapore Tourism Board for promoting new destinations and attracting tourism, specifically with campaigns favoring the Coimbatore-Singapore sector.
  • Industry Recognition: The award comes as Changi Airport records a record 68.4 million travelers in 2024, and India-Singapore traffic sees a 15% surge above pre-Covid numbers. IndiGo's efforts have played a pivotal role in this success.
IndiGo's management appreciated the recognition, reiterating their pledge for hassle-free travel and future cooperation with Changi Airport Group.
