After weeks of scorching summer heat, Bengaluru has finally found relief as showers sweep across the city. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) attributes this shift to a cyclonic circulation forming over the Bay of Bengal near the Tamil Nadu coast, influencing weather patterns across Karnataka.

Over the past three days, 27 areas in Bengaluru, including Mallasandra, Peenya Industrial Area, and Bellandur, have recorded rainfall. While some low-lying areas experienced minor waterlogging, residents welcomed the downpour as temperatures dipped significantly. Daytime highs now hover around 33°C, while nighttime temperatures have fallen to a pleasant 21°C.

The IMD has issued a weather advisory warning of continued thunderstorms, lightning, and isolated heavy rain until at least April 13. Citizens are urged to stay indoors during severe weather and exercise caution. The showers have not only cooled the city but also revived its green spaces, with many sharing images of refreshed surroundings on social media.
