The 2nd Asian Yogasana Sport Championship began on April 25, 2025, at the K.D. Jadhav Indoor Wrestling Hall, Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi, hosting over 170 athletes from 20+ Asian countries. Organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and the Sports Authority of India in association with Yogasana Bharat, the tournament marks an important step toward institutionalizing Yogasana as an international competitive sport.
 
The championship was inaugurated by Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, emphasizing the leadership of India in establishing the sporting and cultural heritage of Yogasana. Sportsmen contend under strength, flexibility, durability, and artwork classes, embracing the harmony between tradition and present-day rivalry as a sport. The championship further introduced Team India, mascot, and ananthem to provide a boost in unity and zeal.
 
Yogasana is proposed to be included in the 2036 Olympics, representing its increasing place on the international sporting stage. This championship marks India's commitment towards international promotion of Yogasana.
