Maldives-based hospitality firm Atmosphere Core is making a bold entry into the Indian market, unveiling plans for an all-women managed hotel in Bhopal. The move marks the company’s first venture in India, bringing its unique brand of experiential hospitality to the country.

Co-founder and managing director Salil Panigrahi revealed that the Bhopal property is inspired by the success of Atmosphere Core’s women-managed hotels in the Maldives. The company, which operates nine properties in the island nation, aims to replicate this model in India, offering guests a distinctive experience rooted in empowerment and service excellence.

Atmosphere Core has ambitious expansion plans beyond Bhopal, with multiple hotels set to open across India in the coming years. The company is focusing on leisure destinations rather than business hubs, with upcoming properties in Kolkata, Goa, and scenic locations in North and Northeast India.

Panigrahi emphasized that Atmosphere Core’s India strategy is centered on experiential hospitality, catering to travelers seeking immersive stays in nature-rich environments. The company is also expanding its footprint in the Middle East and Africa, with a heritage hotel in Italy and potential ventures in Nepal and Bhutan.
