Ashoka Buildcon Limited has bagged a huge infrastructure contract worth ₹5.69 billion (₹568.86 crore) on a GST-inclusive basis, which is a major victory in the project portfolio of the company. The order from Central Railway is a testament to the increasing supremacy of Ashoka Buildcon in the rail infrastructure space.
Pioneering Railway Project:
Ashoka Buildcon was the lowest bidder for Central Railway's gauge conversion work between Pachora and Jamner in Maharashtra, covering a 53.3 km length. The work involves earthwork, major and minor bridges, road under-bridges (RUBs), permanent way (P-Way) work, and miscellaneous civil works, excluding road overbridges and Pachora Yard.
Project Scope & Timeline
The project is an EPC project and is to be completed in 30 calendar months, which reflects the company's execution strength and operational competence.
Strategic Importance:
The contract will improve regional rail connectivity and operating efficiency, facilitating smoother movement of transportation and freight for Central Railway. It also supports Ashoka Buildcon's excellent reputation for executing large public infrastructure projects.
